To align with the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Sprout Project, the university actively promotes a diverse and inclusive learning environment while advancing STEAM preparatory courses. In this effort, the Preserved Flower Art Workshop was launched, combining creative craftsmanship with aesthetic education to help students experience the integration of science, art, and design through hands-on creation.
Focusing on the core values of creativity, practice, and aesthetics, the workshop guided students through the process of selecting preserved flower materials, arranging colors, and designing compositions. Through this hands-on experience, students developed concentration, artistic sensibility, and an appreciation for visual harmony.
During the creative process, students not only learned principles of aesthetic design but also gained an understanding of the scientific techniques behind preserved flower preservation—embodying the interdisciplinary spirit of STEAM education.
The workshop outcomes demonstrated students’ creativity and craftsmanship, with many works showcasing both practicality and artistic value, reflecting their unique styles and ingenuity. The course not only enhanced students’ aesthetic literacy but also strengthened their ability to solve problems creatively, fostering innovative thinking for future challenges.
In addition, this workshop was integrated into the General Education Center’s Microcredit Module Courses, allowing students to earn microcredit hours while learning and creating in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
This activity exemplifies the university’s commitment to innovative teaching under the Higher Education Sprout Project and highlights its dedication to promoting art education and interdisciplinary learning.
