To promote the aesthetics of craftsmanship and the spirit of creative handmaking, the university held a “Paper Embroidery DIY Workshop,” guiding students to explore this unique art form that blends traditional embroidery techniques with modern paper craft.
Paper embroidery, which combines needlework and paper, features delicate textures and rich visual layers. With its artistic value and high creative flexibility, it has been warmly welcomed by students.
Under the guidance of the instructor, students learned about the origins, applications, and styles of paper embroidery, as well as how to use embroidery tools and basic stitches to begin creating.
From pattern design and hole-punching to the actual stitching, students completed their own personalized paper embroidery works step by step.
Throughout the creative process, participants demonstrated great focus and artistic sensibility, and through interaction with peers, sparked inspiration and imagination. Upon completion, students eagerly shared their ideas and reflections, showcasing both their learning outcomes and personal growth.
The workshop proved highly fruitful—enhancing students’ hands-on skills, aesthetic appreciation, and interest in traditional crafts.
Each finished piece reflected creativity, thoughtfulness, and artistic dedication. Moving forward, the university will continue to offer diverse art-based experiences, integrating aesthetic education into daily life and helping students develop interdisciplinary abilities and expressive confidence—stitching their own youthful landscape.
